Hello and welcome!

This online training course is directed at business partners (partnering companies, service providers, suppliers and recipients of financing) of GIZ. It aims to inform you about sustainability management at GIZ and about key elements of the sustainability standards we apply.

Dear business partners of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH,

sustainability is of crucial meaning for GIZ. This applies for the implementation of our projects, national and abroad as well as for our own operational processes. Therefore, it is important to us that our cooperating business partners strive to keep on improving their corporate sustainability approach together with us. To enhance this process we have developed an online training course: the GIZ GPS, our Guide for Practicing corporate Sustainability.

Within GIZ the Chair of the Management Board, Tanja Gönner, is responsible for corporate sustainability. It is embedded in our mission statement as well as our rules and standards for our employees and executives. GIZ and its employees work with the conviction that only the interaction of economic capability, social responsibility and ecological balance enables a safe and dignified life for future generations.

The GPS is directed towards the responsible agent of a project. As soon as you have finished the training, you can confirm your participation via an automated message and download your digital certificate.

We gladly invite you to send any suggestions for improvement, questions or criticism you may have to GPS@giz.de.
